Mount Perry - Scenic Drives
As you journey through the different parts of the region you will always be greeted with a firm handshake, a wide smile and a warm welcome.
An 18km section of the Bicentennial National Trail passes through the Mount Perry area and is ideal for walking, cycling or horse riding activities.
From Mount Perry you can head south to the Mingo Crossing Caravan and Recreation Park - one of our undiscovered treasures. This is a great stop-off point, with camping grounds, powered caravan sites, kiosk, amenities block, boat ramp and fish cleaning facilities.
Enjoy the rugged mountain country scenery which can be viewed from the Normanby and Schuh lookouts.
The Normanby Lookout is located on Normanby Range Road off Towns Creek Road from the Gin Gin-Mount Perry Road. From here you overlook the Mount Perry Township and the surrounding countryside. There is a Directional Dial for you to get your bearings.
Schuh’s Lookout is located on Schuhs Road off the Monto Mount Perry Road at the top of the range. From here you overlook to the south of Mount Perry. The lookouts feature picnic tables and chairs to take in the magnificent scenic views.
Situated on Bania Road, Wolca Reserve provides toilet and showering amenities and waste receptacles. Pets are permitted on leashes. A permit to camp is required and there are unpowered sites at reasonable rates. Please contact the Council's Administration Office in the main street of Mount Perry or on 1300 696 272 for information.
